Synopsis
Qi Yue (Rainie Yang) has a crush on Yuan Yi (Kingone) and with the encouragement of her friends, she decides to confess her love for him. She writes him a love letter and plans to give it to him in person, however, she gets so nervous when she sees him that she accidentally hands it to Jiang Meng (Mike He), the school director's son who has a devilish reputation and a penchant to bully girls. In the midst of total panic, Qi Yue drops the letter before Meng, and scoots away.

After realizing her letter is still with Meng, she pleads to get it back from him. True to his devilish reputation, Meng orders Qi Yue to be his personal servant, else he'll print copies of her letter and throw them off the school roof for everyone to read. Embarrassed and angry, Qi Yue has no choice but to follow in the devil's shadow.

Finally, unable to stand Meng's devil-may-care attitude, Yue decides to break Meng's hold over her and tells Yuan Yi that she likes him, surprised to find that the feelings are mutual. A bizarre twist later, Qi Yue discovers she harbours feelings for Meng. She realizes that beneath the cool exterior lies a soft heart and a loyal soul who will always stand up for his friends. Meng returns her affections as well, and at last the dreamy Qi Yue, whose head is made up almost all of romantic fluff, thinks she has found love.

One thing stands in the way, however... How can they be together, when they're about to become brother and sister?

And what happens when an arranged marriage and an old love enters both their already complicated lives?

Sea, Eugene et Shoo sont les trois membres de SES. Le groupe a été crée par des auditions de la société coréenne SM (SM Town). Ils cherchaient en effet à former un groupe de filles en complément de leur groupe pop masculin déjà populaire: H.O.T.

Après une année, elles débutent avec un album intitulé S.E.S 1, en fin 1997. La chanson phare de l'album, "Cause I'm your girl" est devenue un hit immédiat. Jusque là, aucun groupe féminin en Corée n'était encore capable de réaliser une telle popularité.
Le succès de SES a alimenté la création de beaucoup d'autres groupes de filles, comme FinKL (FINe Killing Liberty), Baby V.O.X et d'autres...

Vers la fin de l'année 1998, SES avait fait ses preuves au Japon aussi, avec la sortie de leur single japonais "Meguriau Sekai". Etant née au Japon, Shoo devient donc la voix principale du groupe pour les chansons japonaises. Eugene et Sea ont commencé à apprendre le japonais au milieu des années 1998.
En 1999, SES part pour un concert à Taiwan. Bien qu'elles n'aient seulement visité Taiwan trois fois, leur popularité n'en est que grande. Comme personne dans le groupe ne peut parler le chinois, elles n'ont préféré sortir que des chansons coréennes et japonaises.

Malheureusement, même les meilleures choses ont une fin, puisque ce fut en fin 2002 que le contrat attachant le groupe SES à la société SM Town s'acheva. Il en fut d'ailleurs de même quelques années auparavant avec le groupe H.O.T. Même avec leur succès grandissant et les contestations des fans, la société SM n'a pas renouvelé le contrat avec nos trois chanteuses. Seul Shoo est resté au sein de la société. Elle anime à présent des émissions télé et chante à l'occasion des albums regroupant les autres artistes de la société (BoA, Fly 2 the Sky, ...). Ce genre de système est vraiment très triste, mais il en est ainsi, il faut comprendre et respecter la culture professionnelle de la SM Town. Ils veulent renouveler, présenter de nouveaux artistes. Le monde de la musique bouge sans cesse et des milliers de jeunes talents naissent tous les jours. Certaines décisions en demeurent, pour ma part, vraiment affligeantes. On regrettera à jamais des groupes phares comme H.O.T, S.E.S et Shinhwa. Mais même s'ils ne se représentent plus par la SM Town, ils seront à jamais dans nos mémoires et dans nos coeurs.
